Convincing that community engagement is fundamental for the sustainable growth of the industry, SLHGA has contributed to society in various ways with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives since its humble beginning. Thus, being a catalyst to its followers, SLHGA plays a vital role in enhancing industry's manpower, competency, skills and expertise; thus conducts a plethora of forums, workshops, training programmes, exhibitions and competitions annually; again contributing to their mission of molding competent and skillful industry professionals while assisting the same to shine within the industry.
To name a few, SLHGA takes over the annual Sri Lanka’s Largest Hospitality Trade Exhibition, Hotel Show, annual scholarship awarding to selected students at Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM), National Bartenders Competition etc.
